- Set a mail subject (see Mailing - Best practices).
- Include the Survey link in the body.
Add your template
Dynamic templates
You have the ability to send different mail templates, in one batch, based on your sample list field.
Let's say you have one single sample list with two languages: French and English.
These values are stored in a field named "Language" with value=1 for French and value=2 for English:
You need to create two mail templates:
- A French one, named "1.html".
- An English one, named "2.html".
Then, upload these templates in the working directory of your survey.
On Sample list properties > Mail templates tab, enter the path for the template file like this:
So, the path to your survey working directory, with [Language].html
You can also use a sample list field for a dynamic subject of your Mail:
Every dynamic field should be between square brackets [].
You will have a warning at each time you will validate the sample list properties, when on the "Mail Templates" tab.
That is normal, as well as the lack of a Preview.
Now, you can start your email and the contacts will receive the appropriate mail invitation:
Dynamic fields
When you're doing a DoPanel fieldwork, you can decide to send an invitation and/or reminder mails to a specific target. In this case, you will need to set the field you want to use to filter your mailing as dynamic.
You can do it from the Sample list properties > General tab:
Or from External Data Details tab:
Simply right-click on the required field > Dynamic.
By setting a field as "Dynamic", will allow you to use it in the "filter" dialog box on the "Mail Templates" tab:
Manual Email Sending
On find/edit contact menu, we have added the ability to send the next email to a specific contact or a group of contacts. This allows you:
- To send an invitation email to a selected contact (if no invitation email has been previously sent).
- To send a reminder email to a selected contact (if invitation or reminder have been previously sent)
To achieve this, open the find/edit contact dialog, select your chosen contact > right click > Web > Send Next email.
