- In some cases the connection to could be lost without the application it (e.g. when CCA unplugs the network cable). Until now these broken sockets where only discovered when trying to send data. By enabling the TCP keep-alive mechanism they will be discovered sooner (within 1 minute).
'BugFixes'
- Login through OCX Fails
'BugFixes'
- The encrypted passwords where different in Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows CE and Windows XP or higher because of different encryption defaults in the operating systems. When using different operating systems for CCA the login failed with the error 'password incorrect'. This fixed version makes sure that for all operating systems the same password is generated as Windows XP and higher.
- Because of the same reason as above, using the 'encrypted connection' when CCA is running on a different operating system was impossible.
- The port number shown on the connection dialog was incorrect when using an encrypted connection.
'Changes / New Features'
- The CCatiSocket, CCatiEncrypSocket and CatiSocketVirtual classes are replaced by the new CcaSocket class, a subclass of the new general socket base class CAsyncSocketEx.
- The CCA Socket can now use encrypted communication (this was also possible in the past, but was coupled with NT authentication). Set the 'UseEncryption' registry key to '1' to enable this. Note that in the past this key also enabled NT authentication, this is no longer the case (see #3).
- It is now possible to automatically log in using NT authentication (this was also possible in the past, but was coupled with encryption). Make sure to select an NT account for the agent, and set the 'UseAuthentication' registry key to '1'.
- Passwords are now sent in encrypted form.
- It is now possible to log this side of the Cca socket communication. Just set the Settings\InputTracePath and Settings\OutputTracePath registry keys to a valid path.
Attention: Because of the new password encryption, 128-bit encryption has to be supported. Therefore you have to install:
- Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher, or
- Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack.
